Messina Construction employs a team approach to all of our projects. Once construction begins, our building process is interactive. We understand this is not our home, but yours. From day one, we provide you with a realistic project schedule, outlining important dates and deadlines. Depending on your home’s design, a specific team of craftsmen, trade partners, and vendors will be assembled to insure the success of your project.

Pre-Construction

The initial focus on capturing our homeowners' vision begins with the design team. The team looks at issues of: home site topography, construction feasibility, value engineering, market conditions, local conditions, cost estimates, scheduling, and purchasing.

Pre-Construction Service

  • Open and clear communication
  • Discussions regarding your financial expectations, lifestyle requirements and architectural preferences
  • Home site selection assistance and/or representation
  • Selection of a design team comprised of some of the areas most respected architects, designers, and engineers
  • Realistic initial cost estimates
  • Plan review and value engineering
  • Comprehensive scheduling for all activities prior to construction
  • Work with Lender to insure policy and procedures will be followed
  • Permit submittal
  • Pre-qualify trade partners and vendors
  • Create a final working estimate

Construction Services

  • Open and clear communication
  • Set project goals and schedules
  • Meeting with our trade partners who will work with you to choose the specific items for your home (i.e.: lighting, cabinets, flooring, etc.).
  • Handle all payments and accounting of the project
  • Hire and build teams of hand-picked trade-partners, vendors and craftsmen
  • Hold the team accountable for schedule, cost and craftsmanship
  • Perform quality and craftsmanship inspections
  • Control all inspections and deal directly with the building department
  • Maintain a clean, safe and hazard-free construction site

Post-Construction

Although we strive for zero defects prior to closing, and quality materials and craftsmanship are used in all of our homes, we are realistic enough to know that items may not perform as intended. When this occurs, we will make the necessary corrections. We encourage our clients to monitor the performance of their home and to keep us informed of any problems when they occur.
